Reporting a Workplace Injury: Your Guide

Your company is now enrolled in AF Group’s TeleCompCare® (TCC) Nurse Triage and Telemedicine Program, providing injured workers immediate, appropriate care without leaving work in many cases. Here’s what to do when a workplace injury occurs:


Steps to Report an Injury

  1. Notify Your Supervisor
    Inform your supervisor about the injury as soon as possible.
  2. Call the TCC Nurse Triage Line
    The injured worker should call 866-323-4227 and provide the following information:
    • TCC Number: 100383
    • The worker’s employment location street address
  3. Follow the Nurse’s Recommendations
    • A triage nurse will assess the injury and recommend the next steps:
      • Self-care instructions
      • Telemedicine evaluation via smartphone, tablet, or computer
      • Referral to a clinic visit if necessary
    • The First Notice of Loss (FNOL) will be initiated, starting the claims process.

Complete the Accident Form

Thorough documentation is essential. Following your call, fill out the Accident Form promptly and accurately. Seek assistance from your supervisor or HR team if needed.
