Work Time Definition | HR-01.11

The Campus is open from 7:00 am – 10:00 pm Monday through Friday, Saturday 7:30 am – 9:00 pm, and Sunday 7:30 am – 3:00 pm.


Workweek
The workweek for payroll calculation is Sunday through Saturday. All payroll time adjustments, review, special payroll request, supplement request must be received by 9:00 a.m. prior to the start of payroll processing as communicated by Human Resources.

Unpaid Lunch Periods
Non-Exempt and Hourly Staff will receive an unpaid lunch period of 30 minutes during a shift lasting more than 6 hours. The timing of the lunch period is to be determined by their supervisor based upon departmental needs. It is the responsibility of the employee to utilize the time clock to record their lunch breaks on a daily basis. Lunch periods that are not taken daily are not to be stored for future use and may not be used to postpone start of the shift of leave early.


The lunch period is required and meant to provide a time of rest during the work day. Indian Rocks requires that Non-Exempt and Hourly Staff utilize the time clock for all unpaid lunch periods and refrain from working during this time. Failure to take scheduled lunch periods could result in disciplinary action including up to termination of employment.

Scheduling
Your weekly schedule will be communicated through your Immediate Supervisor/Human Resources. Schedules are set based upon ministry/departmental needs.
